Dr. Fawz Abdullah Abdallah is the current President of the Lebanese Library Association. He is the Head of the Department of Information Management and the Department of Data Science - Faculty of Information - Branch 1 - Lebanese University. He holds a doctorate in library and information management from "Siemens University", Boston, USA, and a master's degree and a graduate degree in libraries and information sciences from "Pratt University", New York. He worked as director of the library of the Lebanese American University - Byblos (1994-2007), as well as at the Brooklyn Public Library and the libraries of Pratt University and the City University of New York in the United States of America (1988-1994). Dr. Abdallah is also a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions IFLA), and the American Library Association (ALA). He has supervised various MA and Ph.D. He has published numerous research papers, articles, and lectures in many local, regional and international conferences. He also supervised the organization of many conferences, seminars, and workshops in the management of libraries and information locally and internationally.
