The various positions I have held during my career (Head of Information Division at Lebanese Standards Institution-LIBNOR and Board Member of the Lebanese Library Association (LLA)) have allowed me to have in-depth knowledge about libraries and information in a multinational environment. Being a copyright representative of the International Standardization Organization-ISO in Lebanon and a WIPO trainer have provided me with in-depth knowledge and experience in patents, trademarks, geographic indicators, and copyright laws.
My continuous collaboration with the WIPO representative in Lebanon located in the Ministry of Economy and Trade has aided me in my role as a member of the LLA Copyright Task Force to review and advocate copyright limitations and exceptions for libraries and archives in the Lebanese Copyright Law.
As a member of the LIBNOR team, I worked on drafting the 2017 Law of the Right of Access to Information. I have also participated in training sessions related to IFLA projects: Developing an action plan to support the UN 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Global Vision workshop.
I am an active blogger who conducts training sessions on citizenship, transparency, the right to access information, human rights, and women empowerment.
